ATTACK VECTOR Ship Book 2 Ships Next Week

Last week, I posted the PDF files for Attack Vector: Tactical Ship Book 2 to the Ad Astra Games webshop, and to Wargame Vault; the early purchasers sent us a total of seven typo reports, which were fixed last night.

Updated files are uploading now to both sites, and I’m printing off the pre-orders and retailer orders as we speak.

So, what’s in Ship Book 2? 23 new ships, all done to the 3rd Edition standard, 20 scenarios and a new mini campaign. We also have new fiction and new background details for the Ten Worlds.

The Attack Vector dev team are taking a well-earned rest while we scope out what we want to include in Nexus Journal #2.

So, why did this take so long?

The long and the short of it is that the scenario playtesting went a lot longer than expected, a few ships got tweaked due to playtesting…and then about the time we originally intended to ship (late September, early October) the Attack Vector line developer’s father started having myriad health issues that required him to spend two hours of driving to take him to medical appointments, sitting in a doctor’s office (poking at his laptop) and then driving everyone back home. This continued for months.

On top of that, I’ve had medical issues due to poorly managed diabetes (we’re still working on getting that under control) which manifests as something similar to chronic fatigue.

In January, a capillary burst in my one good eye, which rendered me various degrees of blind through the end of February. My eyesight still isn’t entirely up to what it was in December; staring at dark text on a white screen is constantly (slightly) blurry. With the help of a friend remote-accessing my desktop, I was able to do a major wave of shipping in mid-February, and was using the magnifier app on my phone to make sure shipping labels went on the right boxes.

Since early March, I’ve been coordinating the last rounds of work on AV:T Ship Book 2 as my vision has (mostly) improved with some setbacks, and gone to medical treatments for my eye. (I can say, definitively, that ‘injections in the eye’ are much less unpleasant than anyone sensible would think they are…)

However, Ad Astra Games does have help! Some goodwill packages from the Royal Manticoran Navy helped a lot! And at the end of 2025 — roughly the time my eyesight went kersplut, an exclusivity deal ran out, leading to:

The Return of Honorverse Miniatures!

After a decade out of production, they’d gotten hard to find and are getting ridiculous prices among collectors.

All of these are in stock, though to differing stocking levels, and more imporantly, more can be made.

Gold background is Manticoran, green is Havenite, blue is Andermani, purple is SIlesian and red are pirates. We can also assemble the old book packs.

There are even a couple of miniatures that, while not precisely new, were never properly put on sale 20 years ago.
